Summer?

I just heard the ice cream truck for the first time this year... and no one can convince me I didn't.

The fact that it's St. Patrick's Day just makes it that much better.

Whose got the beat?

I have FINALLY and officially begun my work with the UMFA (Utah Museum of Fine Arts) and  will be working with the contemporary curator there, Jill Dawsy. She is extremely nice and is almost as excited to have my help as I am to be helping. I really think this is going to be an awesome opportunity for me and I'm SO SO happy about filling part of my schedule with art history again. I for sure still miss working in the 

MOA (Museum of Art in Provo) & it will always hold a special place in my heart, but I am grateful for the opportunity to expand my museum experience and gain new perspectives on museum work. I think I should be working with Jill at least until the summer begins and I have a feeling I'm going to love it!

Another note... Everyone one knows my affinity for my fellow man of the Asian descent, for multiple reasons. One, we all know I will end up marrying one and two, when Catie returns from Korea she will have become Asian herself... a fact I am not opposed to. Today I was at the U library doing some research. A group of Asian students, who were looking for a book on Monet (of all people:) decided to take a break next to where I was reading some articles. Maybe this isn't even funny, but for some reason it gave me a pretty good laugh when it happened. Their conversation went something like this (please keep in mind the accent):

Student 1: "Do you want to watch The Office tonight?"

Student 2: "I hate that show."

Student 1: "You're weird, do you watch tv?"

Student 2: "I watch cops."

Cops... after all, this is America.

(The top message was actually intended for Jimmy, but I like to pretend it was really meant for me and I think Mal would agree that in her heart she knew to leave it up for when I came over) 

You two are pretty awesome.

And p.s. I've decided that more pictures need to be taken at all times. It's pretty annoying when it's happening but so worth it afterwards. So, I'm not sayin' I'm just sayin'... be prepared.

I was looking through photos and decided to post some favorites from recent memories (in no particular order). They really just make me want to go everywhere and anywhere.

Tulips...

Although the wind couldn't seem to control itself today, the warm weather and a little bit of sun made me feel like spring is maybe closer than I had thought and then I realized that means tulips!

The Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point is April 17 - May 2 this year... only a little over a month away... and you better believe I'm going to be there.
